I'm on the last couple days of a cruise and really getting tired of feeling self conscious because of my weight. So I've decided that it's time once again to get serious about getting into better shape. I'm cruising with a couple friends who have been in a class to help them make a lifestyle change and they have lost a significant amount of weight. My schedule would make it difficult to commit to a class, but I can commit to be accountable to this blog. I am making a choice to be committed to finding ways to lose weight, eat healthier and be stronger physically and mentally and I plan to share it all here. Continuing to Lose and Now to Get into Better Shape!
Hi all. It's been a while since I've posted and I've been quite busy (you can check out my other blogs as well), so I'll try and update you now. Since January, I'm down about 30 pounds. How did I do it? mostly through both increased activity and being a bit more careful with what I eat. In the winter and early spring, I was working out at a gym, doing a lot of cardio and some strength training. Now, throughout the late spring and summer, there is so much to do outside that I have spent most of my time on yard and garden work. That can be strenuous activity and pretty much replaced the gym. As Gardening season winds down, back to the gym I'll go. The biggest thing though, I think has been changing my eating habits. At most meals, I will fill my plate with as much as I plan to eat, clean my plate and then resist the temptation to go for seconds. I haven't deprived myself of anything, I just have reduced what I eat to reasonable levels. My goal going forward is to lose another 20 pounds before Thanksgiving. My other goal is to keep my blogs updated more often. I hope that I can also get back into bike riding before the weather gets too cold. I'll be back here soon.

April Fools and I start again!
I know, I've been here and done this several times in the past. But today, I am resolving to begin again to get my body back in shape. A monday and the first of the month, it's a good day to start fresh. I'm not sure what I'll do, whether it's the bike or the treadmill, I will get a workout in and I will start making real progress towards reaching my goals.

Welcome to My Fitness Journal 2013
Ok, I have been lax for a while and have allowed myself to get very out of shape and overweight. So now I start again. My weight has ballooned to the highest it has ever been. My goal now is to loose 50 to 60 pounds over the next 9 months and be back in the 220 to 230 range. I have to start eating better and exercising more. I will keep you up to date with regular posts here and on LifeKraze. Welcome to the new My Fitness Journal and to 2013.
