Another Monday, Planning the Week and Reviewing My Progress

Things have been quite hectic as usual, making it more progress as well. I made it to the gym twice last week as well as using the treadmill and taking a couple runs around the neighborhood. I now stand at around 255 so that's 5 lbs. since my last update. I'm pretty satisfied that I am making progress, though I probably frustrate myself more by checking the scale each day. Besides the increase in exercise, I am also paying more attention to what I'm eating. A big factor is portion size. Controlling this at home is not too tough. It's when you go out to eat that it really gets tough. Most restaurants have a hard time balancing sensible portion sizes with the desire to make sure that customers feel they are getting more than their money's worth. So usually there is more on your plate than necessary. I guess it's all about having the discipline to eat only what you need and not all that is in front of you. So, getting back in shape is going well and I will keep progressing this week. I always feel better when I am done working out or make a good and sensible meal choice. It's just getting motivated beforehand that is the issue. Well, I'll keep you updated with the exercising and also maybe some recipes I'm going to try this week as well.
